I’ve been reading so much benefits around fermented food, can you
highlight these? Also is there a limit to the amount of fermented foods to
eat per day?
Fermented foods are beneficial for our gut health as they tend to contain a large range of bacteria which are thought to be beneficial to our gut. Including them once a day should see this benefit to the gut. Other fermented foods include live yogurt, kombucha, sourdough, sauerkraut or kefir. If you aren’t used to eating fermented foods and suffer with gut health conditions like IBS, suddenly introducing them might trigger symptoms. Other things that are good for gut health is including plenty of fibre in your diet and eating a range of different plant foods (30 different ones a week!).
